What Finger Does a Wedding Band Go on?

Men's wedding bands are traditionally worn on the ring finger, or fourth digit, of the left hand of the wearer. This is due to an ancient belief in n a vein called the Vena Amoris (vein of love) that ran directly to the heart from this finger.

However, some chose to wear the wedding band on their right hand which can is a common practice in Eastern European cultures. It is also common for left handed people to wear their ring on the right hand to prevent discomfort or damage, as they use their left hand more.

Some couples may also chose their right hand as a conscious departure from tradition.
