    RING RESIZES

    Unisex, Men's, and Stacking Bands
    If you receive your ring and it doesn't fit, you can send it in for 1 free resize as long as you used our free ring sizer at the time of ordering! The ring must be returned within 30 days of receiving it in order to receive the free resize. If you did not use our free sizer or will be returning the ring after the 30 day period we would still love to help you get a ring that fits you perfectly! Please email us for options and pricing.

    *Please note that for orders outside of the U.S. we will not provide a return shipping label, however we will cover the cost of us shipping the ring back to you.
    *Rings made in black zirconium or heat-treated titanium will be resized by machining out the interior of the ring which will remove the top layer and expose the gray color underneath. We will be unable to re-color the ring, so the inside will be gray. This is typically not seen when being worn.
    *Rings must be returned in perfect condition. If there is damage, scratching, etc. we may charge you for these repairs.

    Women's Engagement Rings
    Because we know many people want to keep some aspect of their proposal a surprise we offer one free lifetime resize on all women's engagement rings, regardless of the free sizing kit being used, so that you don't have to ask for her ring size and give away the fact that you're ordering the ring soon. If a ring tracer or ring guard was bought at the same time as the engagement ring, you will also receive one free resize for those as well.

    In the event you need to send your ring in for the free resize, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Returns" in the subject line of the email. While we will not provide a return shipping label to send the ring in, we will cover the cost of shipping the ring back to you once the resize is complete. The shipping label will be USPS First Class Mail, so please email us if you would like to purchase upgraded shipping for the return of your ring.

    *Only valid for traditional women's engagement rings seen in our Engagement Rings collection & for rings purchased on or after January 3rd, 2022.

    SIZING GUIDELINES

    To ensure you order the correct ring size we do offer a free ring sizer option at the time of purchasing your ring! These ring sizers have been tested and are quite accurate to our ring sizes, so we do recommend you select this option at checkout. This will delay the production of your ring as we must wait for you to confirm your final size and the production time begins once we receive your ring size.

    If you would like to be sized locally, please follow our guidelines to ensure you are being sized correctly. Before ordering, we recommend getting sized by two or three reputable jewelers following our guidelines below for wide and thin rings. Please note that our rings are true to international sizing standards, and our acceptable tolerance on every ring is +/- a tenth of a millimeter.

    WIDER RINGS (6mm-10mm wide): We recommend being sized using standard fit rings (not comfort fit) that are the same width as the ring you would like to order from us. Most of our men's rings default to 8mm wide. Please do not use the thin sizing rings that jewelers have as these are not accurate and an actual ring will be tighter (because of added width) than the sizing rings that are used. 

    While we use our own method to create comfort of wear on our rings, it is is different than what is referred to as "comfort fit" at most jewelry stores. For this reason, try on standard fit rings. We provide a beveled-cut edge and will thus be more comfortable to the wearer than a typical standard fit ring. Lastly, do not allow a jeweler to give you a size according to a ‘ring-sizing dowel’, as in our experience with the dozen or so dowels we have in our own shop they all measure differently and can vary based on how the jeweler was trained to read it. A ring can be off by a half size or more, depending on the dowel.

    THINNER RINGS (1mm-5mm wide): We recommend being sized using rings that are the same width as the ring you will be ordering in, if at all possible. If a matching width is not available at the jewelers we have also found that the thin key ring sizers are accurate for rings made in a 1mm-5mm width. Do not allow a jeweler to give you a size according to a ‘ring-sizing dowel’, as in our experience with the dozen or so dowels we have in our own shop they all measure differently and can vary based on how the jeweler was trained to read it. A ring can be off by a half size or more depending on the dowel. 

    Please note our Tungsten and Ceramic rings are comfort fit and not standard fit. This means that if you are ordering in one of those ring bases, you will need to be sized using comfort fit rings.

    Because there are different fits and styles of rings, we provide the option to receive a free ring sizer at the time of purchase. This will place your order on hold so we can send you a ring sizing kit, along with instructions on how to size yourself properly, before we proceed with your order. Because we cannot begin working on the ring until we receive your final ring size, the production time does not being until we have processed the ring size you need. 

    To take advantage of the free sizing kit, you will purchase the ring you'd like to order but rather than selecting an actual ring size, you will select the Free Ring Sizing Kit option which is the first item in the Ring Size drop down menu. While this sizing method has been extremely accurate, we do have some people who receive their ring and it's just a bit too  snug or too large, so we do offer 1 free resize as long as our ring sizing kit was used. The ring must be returned within 30 days of receiving it in order to take advantage of this offer.

    In the event you need to send your ring in for the free resize, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Returns" in the subject line of the email. We will provide you with a return shipping label as well as pay for the cost of shipping the ring back to you. Both labels will be USPS First Class Mail. We offer narrow, wide & standard fit, and wide & comfort fit sizing kits, so it is extremely important to ensure you are using the correct kit for your specific ring. You cannot use a narrow sizing kit from your partner's order and then order a wide ring (6mm+) and have that be accurate - it will not fit! The same is true if trying to go from a wide kit to ordering a narrow ring.

    In the event that you don't want to use our free ring sizer option, or don't have time because of an upcoming wedding date, you can always get sized locally following our specific sizing guidelines for our rings.

    FREE LIFETIME-LIMITED WARRANTY

    Every ring we sell comes with our FREE warranty so you can ensure your ring is covered when it comes to keeping the natural materials in your ring safe! We take pride in our craftsmanship and quality and do everything we can to make our rings as durable as possible. However, the materials we use are natural and thus can be vulnerable to water, chemicals, and breakage of the sealant from impact damage. For this reason, we include a FREE lifetime-limited warranty with every ring we sell in order to give you peace of mind and keep your handcrafted ring protected and looking great for years to come!

    This free warranty provides you with a lifetime of reseals and polishes for your ring. In order to make your ring as durable as possible, all of our rings which have natural materials in them (antler, wood, turquoise, etc.) have a protective sealant applied over to them. Over time, that sealant can start to wear down and will make the natural materials vulnerable to the natural elements. Please send your ring in as soon as you notice the sealant wearing down so we can reseal it, rather than having to repair or replace your natural materials, as this will incur a fee which you will be responsible for. Damage to the metal base of the ring will also not be covered.

    All women's engagement rings come with a lifetime of free inspections, cleanings, and the tightening of prongs! We recommend sending your ring in at least annually for a prong inspection. We will ensure that all prongs are tight and securing all stones in your ring. Please note there are some things which will not be covered under this free warranty. Some examples of this include:

    - The discoloration or damage of stones or precious metals due to heat exposure, chemicals, make-up, etc.
    - Prongs do wear down with daily wear and tear and may need to be restored at some point.
    - Lost or damaged precious stones.

    When you are ready to send your ring in for a free service, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Repairs" in the subject line of the email. We will provide you with a return shipping label as well as pay for the cost of shipping the ring back to you. Both labels will be USPS First Class Mail.     What Is Covered & Included?

    Repairs & Damage:

    Purchasing this extended warranty will provide you with a lifetime of unlimited reseals, polishes, and repairs so you never have to worry about not loving how your ring looks! The best time to send your ring in is as soon as you notice any potential damage to the sealant, rather than damage to the natural materials themselves. This is because often when we are simply resealing the ring we can keep the original natural materials on your ring, whereas if they have received damage and need to be replaced they can have a different grain, pattern, color, etc. We cannot control how these new materials will look, so we always prefer to keep your original materials when possible!

    As soon as you notice any wearing down or damage to the sealant or materials you can send it in for a reseal or repair, no questions asked! We will provide you with a return shipping label as well as pay for the cost of shipping the ring back to you. Both labels will be USPS First Class Mail. If you'd like to upgrade your shipping, or require a signature upon arrival, please contact us for shipping options and pricing.

    When you are ready to send your ring in for a reseal or repair, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Repairs" in the subject line of the email.

    1 Free Lifetime Resize:

    Due to the natural material used in your handcrafted ring, resizing your ring most likely means rebuilding the ring from scratch. However, with the purchase of our extended warranty you can contact us at any point to receive a free resize on your ring as long as you opted to use our free ring sizer at the time of purchase! If you did not use the free ring sizer option but purchased our extended lifetime-limited warranty, you can still receive 60% OFF a new ring in the size needed in exchange for the original ring.

    *Rings which can be resized (not remade) and are made in black zirconium or heat-treated titanium will be resized by machining out the interior of the ring which will remove the top layer and expose the gray color underneath.     Cancellation of Order:

    If contacted within the first 24 hours of an order being placed, we will fully refund the order. If contacted after 24 hours but before the order ships, and the extended warranty was purchased, we will refund the full cost of the order minus the warranty cost. Without the extended warranty we will retain a 30% restocking fee.

    *Please note that any services purchased (such as ring engravings or box engravings) will not be refunded if they have been completed.
    *All refunds will automatically be processed through the original payment method and we are not responsible if the customer no longer has access to that account.

    Discounts Offered Through Extended Lifetime Warranty

    60% OFF Remakes for a New Design: In the event you receive your ring and a couple of months down the line you aren't in love with the design, you can return the ring and receive 60% off a brand new ring design! The original ring must not have any significant damage to it.

    20% OFF Remakes Due to Structural Damage: Although we cannot completely cover against structural damage to the base metal of your ring, we understand accidents happen and will offer 20% off the remake of a new ring in exchange for the original ring.

    What Is Covered & Included?

    Lifetime of Free Polishes: Using certain tools, we can buff and polish the ring to remove light scratching from the surface of the ring. For black zirconium rings, please be aware it will most likely be completely remade as the scratches will remove the top layer of black, which comes from the fire-treating of the metal. The ring cannot be fire-treated again, so we reserve the right to remake the ring completely.

    *We do not offer free coverage or replacement for structural damage to the metal base of your ring, so please try not to drop a transmission on it. Keep your fingers safe.
    *Warranty must be purchased along with your ring or prior to receiving your ring in the mail.

    Wearing Your Ring:

    Because silver and gold are softer metals, the prongs on them can be worn down over time and may need to be re-tipped. Depending on how well cared for the ring is, this re-tipping may need to be done every 3-6 months, or you could go years without needing to re-tip your prongs! There are things you can do to help protect the prongs and ensure they last as long as possible, such as removing the ring for showering, being conscious of not catching the prongs on things such as clothing or hair, and removing the ring while sleeping. The ring rubbing on surfaces, such as sheets or blankets, will cause the prongs to be worn down quicker so the better cared for, the longer the prongs will remain in tact and secure your stone(s).

    Please note that there will be a charge to re-tip prongs and we do not cover any stones lost due to the prongs being worn down.

    Inspecting Your Ring:

    Inspect your ring regularly to ensure nothing looks out of the ordinary with your ring band, the stone, or the prongs securing your stones. As prongs wear down they become rough or sharp, so to catch this early on it's best to inspect and feel them regularly. We recommend getting your ring inspected at least annually, and when you're ready to send yours in for inspection, cleaning, or getting your prongs re-tipped you can email us for instructions on sending that in. If you notice a bent or rough/sharp prong, a loose stone, or anything unusual with your ring please remove it immediately in order to avoid any gemstones or small diamond accents from falling out.

    In the event you need to send your ring in for a reseal, polish, or repair, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Repairs" in the subject line of the email. We will provide you with a return shipping label as well as pay for the cost of shipping the ring back to you. Both labels will be USPS First Class Mail.     While we do everything we can to make each ring as durable as possible, they are made using natural and meaningful materials which are more susceptible to damage from impact, chemicals, scratching, and other outside forces than solid metal rings would be.

    We are always working to improve the quality and durability of our products and have recently developed a new sealant, which results in a much more water and impact resistant product! This new sealant should protect your ring against damage from water, as long as the sealant remains continuously intact around the entirety of your ring. It should also provide a more secure barrier for the natural materials in your ring from impacts and scratching but cannot be expected to be as strong as a solid metal ring. Though this new sealant provides your ring with an extra level of protection and durability, it does not provide a guarantee or warranty against water damage or breakage due to impact and other forms of abuse. If the design you chose features wood or antler with exposed edges, meaning the outside edges of the ring are not protective metal walls, we would still advise that you remove your ring when coming in contact with water.

    WOMEN’S RINGS: Rings that do not contain any crushed turquoise, wood, antler, etc. can be cleaned by simply using warm water and a gently brush to remove anything that may be on the surface. If your ring has prongs securing a stone(s), we recommend sending the ring in to us at least annually so we can check the prongs to ensure they’re tight and securing the stones! Your engagement ring comes with a lifetime of free ring inspections, cleanings, and prong tightenings! Please email us with your order number and put "Attention Repairs" in the subject line.

    Our lead time for rings that are made to order is 3 weeks if set in Titanium, Black Zirconium or Damascus Steel (and do not contain any silver or gold),  6 weeks for Tungsten and Ceramic as well as rings containing Gold or Silver, and up to 8 weeks on women's engagement and wedding rings, or any rings which contain precious stones. Please note that fully custom women's rings always have the possibility of taking 8 week or longer. Designing a custom commissioned ring takes time and extra care to ensure we can make the ring you have envisioned come to life. This extra time accounts for sourcing custom stones, new materials, or the custom casting of an original design and the complexity of that design.

    Also, please note that the shipping method you select at checkout is not referring to the production time of your order, that is simply choosing how quickly the shipping process will be once the order has shipped.

     Returns & Exchanges

    We do accept returns and exchanges as long as the ring is returned within 30 days of receiving it, and the ring arrives in perfect condition.

    Custom Rings: If your ring is custom you will have the option to receive 60% store credit OR a 40% refund.
    *Custom means altering the ring in any way from what the ring listing shows - different width, adding a ring engraving, different materials, etc. This also includes brand new ring designs that we worked with the client to create.

    **Please note that our mine stones are considered custom, but all sales are final and we will not offer refunds or exchanges for those stones or rings.**

    Non-Custom Rings: If your ring is not custom, meaning you purchased it exactly as it's seen in our listing photos, you can return the ring for a full refund or exchange it for a ring that is of equal or lesser value. If you would like to exchange your ring for a ring for one that has a higher value than what you originally paid we will provide you with a store credit which can used to purchase the new ring. The price difference will be paid at checkout.

    In the event you need to send your ring in for a return or exchange, simply email us with your order number and put "Attention Returns" in the subject line of the email.

    *Please note that services purchased, such as custom engravings, materials processing fees, etc. will not be refunded or credited. Shipping charges will also not be refunded or credited.
    *We will not provide a return shipping label. The customer is responsible for shipping charges to return the ring.
    *All refunds will automatically be processed through the original payment method and we are not responsible if the customer no longer has access to that account.
    *You may not return more than 1 ring within a 6 month time frame.
    *Returns are only valid for the original, unaltered ring. If the ring has been altered in any way (including if it was resized) it is not eligible for the return for refund.
    *Rings must be returned in perfect condition. If there is damage, scratching, etc. we will deduct the repair amount from your refund or store credit.


    Titanium, black zirconium, and Damascus steel are all pretty equal in durability. Silver is the softest metal so it is more prone to scratching and bending if hit very hard. White gold is very similar in appearance to silver and is the more durable option of the two. Keep in mind that all metals will scratch with normal wear and tear! There is no way to avoid scratches on your ring all together. Our free lifetime warranty offers a lifetime of unlimited polishes to remove surface scratches so that you can keep your ring looking great! Below is a picture which displays all the different metal types we offer.

    Silver and gold rings can be resized (usually up or down 1 size), however most of our other rings must be rebuilt from scratch if you order in the incorrect size. Please be sure to follow our sizing guidelines exactly to ensure a perfect fit! Read more about our sizing guidelines HERE

    For many years salt and pepper diamonds have been seen as undesirable, but more recently are gaining popularity due to their unique colors and characteristics, as well as for being a more budget-friendly option. Salt and pepper diamonds include many different types of flaws, which makes them extremely unique! These flaws can include graining, bearding, clouding, cracks and inclusions, pinpoints, wisps, and even other crystals growing inside the gem. We do not offer free stone replacements for these natural characteristics as they cannot be controlled.

    Because salt and pepper diamonds are unique they can be a bit difficult to source the right stone for the right ring. Because of this we cannot guarantee a specific lead time with any salt and pepper ring! Please email us prior to ordering if you to get an estimated lead time.

    We do not currently have a storefront that you can come visit, unfortunately! We work out of a shop in Ogden, UT and do all our business online. If you have any questions about ring designs, material possibilities, etc. we are happy to help, just reach out via the contact form on the website! 

    Yes, we love when people can send in materials that are so meaningful to them! People frequently send us their own antler or wood pieces, and sometimes even things like sand or rocks, to be used in their specific rings, making it all the more special to them. If you would like to do this, you can simply find the ring you want to order and put in the Custom Requests section at checkout that you have your own [insert material] that you’ll be sending in to be used. We’ll then email you a Materials Form in your order confirmation email to fill out and send in with the material so we know who it belongs to once it arrives!

    Please note there is a $15 materials processing fee for custom materials to be sent in. That can be added to your order HERE.

    For wood, we need a 3” x 3” piece that is at least 1/2” thick.

    For antler, we need a 2” x 2” piece (circumference and diameter) that is at least 1/2” thick

    For most rocks/stones, we need a large marble size stone.

    If you have other ideas for custom materials feel free to contact us and we can discuss with the jeweler to see if it’s possible to incorporate as there are limitations on what can be used.

    Unfortunately for liability reasons our jeweler does not work with diamonds being sent in to us, he will source his own diamonds. However, we would love to discuss building the perfect ring and sourcing diamonds for you! Contact us for more information and to start building your dream ring.

    Unfortunately this is not a service we provide at this time.

    You are always more than welcome to put specific requests like this in the NOTES TO SELLER section at checkout, however keep in mind that we can never guarantee a specific outcome as these materials are natural and cannot be controlled, exactly replicated, etc. We also do our best accommodate special requests, though!

    Many of our men’s rings can be made in a narrower width, the limitation on many of them is 6mm. You can request this in the NOTES TO SELLER section during checkout, however if the jeweler cannot do it 6mm wide it will be made in the standard width for that ring. If you’d like to check the minimum width prior to ordering, please feel free to send us a link to the specific ring you’d like and we can verify what width it can be done in.

    Yes, we ship all over the world! Basic international shipping begins at $15 for an average of 2 weeks shipping time, but you can purchase upgrade shipping at checkout. We are not responsible for any customs fees that may be due upon delivery of your package. Not all countries will require customs fees, and we have no way of knowing who will or will not be charged.

    We do not default to requiring a signature upon delivery for domestic shipping addresses, however there are 3 different shipping options at checkout that have the option to require a signature. For international addresses, we believe typically a signature is required upon delivery, or they will leave you a little slip to go pick up the package in person.

    Our rings are fully customizable. Many clients find a style they like & want to swap out a material or alter the order or width. For this you can simply share those changes in the“notes to seller” section of checkout. More elaborate requests regarding base styles or elements we do not yet have sown on the site we use email to communicate the design process. info@stagheaddesigns.com

    In most cases, no! The exceptions to this rule are as follows:
    1. Adding or replacing materials that are more expensive than what is shown
    2. Adding an engraving
    3. If your design requires more labor-intensive techniques
