Custom Mountain Inspired Wedding Bands
At Staghead Designs, we craft mountain wedding bands inspired by the landscapes that move you most. Whether it's the rugged peaks of the Rockies or a quiet alpine trail you've hiked together, we design rings that tell your story! And we do it using materials as meaningful as the memories you’ve made.
In this blog post, we’ll walk you through the different styles of our mountain-inspired rings, the materials you can choose from (spoiler: the options are almost endless), and how to create a band that’s truly your own.

What Makes a Mountain Ring Unique?
Mountain bands are more than just a nod to nature, they’re a way to carry your favorite places with you, forever. These designs are deeply symbolic for many couples, representing strength, grounding, adventure, or a specific location that holds personal meaning.
At Staghead Designs, our mountain rings come in a variety of styles, from sleek engraved silhouettes to detailed inlays with hand-selected materials like moss, antler, or even diamond dust.
The Styles: Which Mountain Band Speaks to You?
Each of our mountain ring designs has its own vibe. Whether you want something minimal or completely custom, here’s a quick look at the different options:
Helios – Inlayed Mountains + Custom Materials
Helios is one of our most popular designs for good reason. It features a gold or silver mountain range (generic or specific — like the Dolomites or Everest) with an inlay of your choice behind it.

Want crushed turquoise? Whiskey barrel oak? Antler shed from a family hike? You got it. We’ve even had clients send in sand, soil, and pressed flowers from special places.

Some variations of Helios include an accent stone , think a sapphire or emerald , set right into the mountain range.
Horizon – Engraved Mountains + Inlayed Lining
For those who love a minimalist look with hidden meaning, Horizon is a sleek band with an engraved mountain scene. On the inside of the band? A hidden lining of inlay material of your choice, like crushed moss agate or malachite, that only you and your partner see.
The Expedition – Full Adventure Mode
This band includes three distinct elements: a main material (like redwood), a mountain range inlaid with a natural material (like moss), and a third accent inlay (such as antler or turquoise). The Expedition is our most layered and earthy ring, perfect for the couple whose story is rooted in the outdoors. And super customizable to tell your personal story!
Borealis – Glowing Peaks
Inspired by the northern lights, Borealis features a mountain range inlay with a glowing background (yes, it actually glows under UV). We use glow powder to recreate the feeling of looking up at the aurora from your favorite peak. This ring is so beautiful, and would be perfect for a well traveled couple who's spent time under this phenomenon.
Ross – Engraved Forests & Mountains
Ross is a simple yet bold design with mountains and trees engraved directly into the band — no inlays, no fuss. A great option for someone who wants a textured, story-driven ring that doesn’t feel too ornate. A more minimal taste, but still incredibly unique.
Peak – Two-Toned Inlays with Metal Outline
Peak uses two inlays separated by a silver or gold outline to create a mountain shape. Picture this: jet stone “mountains” against a white opal “sky.” The result is crisp, modern, and striking.
Path Finder – Embossed Simplicity
Path Finder features an embossed mountain design right into the surface of the ring. It’s one of our most understated looks , but still full of meaning. You can emboss this ring with your personal favorite mountain range.
Materials That Tell Your Story
We offer a huge variety of inlay materials — and we’re always up for trying something new. Some of our favorites include:
-
Moss & Crushed Moss Agate – Organic and earthy
-
Turquoise – Bold, colorful, and full of western energy
-
Whiskey Barrel Oak – A nod to heritage, celebration, or shared moments
-
Redwood – Symbolic of strength and longevity
-
Jet Stone – Deep black with a refined edge
-
Antler – Ethically sourced, rustic, and meaningful
-
Opal & Diamond Dust – Shimmery, iridescent, and one-of-a-kind
-
Malachite – Deep green, grounding, and bold

You can also send in your own materials , whether it’s soil from your first hike together, wood from your family cabin, or dried flowers from a bouquet. We’ll work with you to create a band that’s 100% personal. Making an heirloom that will be passed down for generations to come.
Finish It Your Way: Metal Options + Custom Details
All of our mountain bands can be made in silver, titanium, black zirconium, damascus steel, tungsten, or 14k gold (white, yellow, or rose). Whether you love a bright, polished shine or a rugged, brushed texture — we’ve got options.
Bonus? You can always add an engraved message, coordinates, or a date to the inside of your ring for that final touch
