"CAPRI" - 8.3 x 8.4mm Cushion Cut Natural Sapphire
This cushion cut, natural sapphire presents chilling pale blue coloring in natural and brighter light, with minty sea foam colors more prominent in darker or indoor lighting. Traditionally sapphires represent truth, faithfulness and sincerity making it a true symbol of commitment and love.
This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors in natural sunlight.
As people become more aware of how common and generally unethical diamonds are, the desire for more unique stones to represent individuality are becoming increasingly popular. This desire will eventually lead to the value of sapphires to exceed diamonds.
Natural, untreated sapphires usually have more inclusions than heat treated sapphires. These inclusions are not only proof that the stone is untreated but add a unique character, making your stone truly one of a kind.
In the past the purest of blues, was the desired color for sapphires. However, overtime as the desire for natural sapphires grows, so does the demand for the wide arrangement of muted and unique shades of blue.
This sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs’ scale. The Mohs’ Scale is a system used to grade the hardness of minerals ranging from 1-10. For reference, diamonds are rated 10 on the Mohs’ scale, as they are the hardest mineral and can only be scratched by other diamonds. Talc has a rating on 1 on the Mohs’ Scale and can be easily scratched and crushed.
This stone is photographed in professional studio lighting that mimics natural sunlight of 5500 degrees kelvin and videoed outdoors the same.
For care and cleaning, we strongly recommend using soapy water and a soft brush as the safest way to clean your jewelry, avoiding ultrasonic and steam cleaners. We also suggest avoiding extreme heat as it has the potential to harm the color variation of your stone. To be safe, remove your jewelry while enjoying a soak in the hot tub or steam in the sauna! You will also want to avoid strong household chemicals and cleaners such as bleach.
**We do not reserve stones for any customer expressing interest in a particular stone. You must complete the purchase of the stone to save and reserve it for yourself! For liability reasons, we will require a signature confirmation upon delivery of your custom ring regardless of the shipping option you select at checkout.**
**Please note that when purchasing a stone, we do not send just the stone itself. In purchasing a Mine Stone, you are reserving that stone in order to work with one of our custom designers to build the perfect ring for your stone! We are artists, not stone dealers, and our passion is working alongside our clients in designing unique and beautiful rings. We love nothing more than seeing custom rings completed and a client dreams realized!**
**Please note that because we use natural materials in our rings (such as wood, antler, etc.) there WILL be variation in how the color and grain of the materials in your ring turn out. No two rings will look the same!**
Because many of our rings have natural materials in them (such as wood, antler, etc.) they do require more care than a traditional solid gold wedding band. We recommend you remove your ring for:
- Any water exposure (including handwashing) - Using household chemicals, hand sanitizer, or any other harsh chemicals - Any manual labor - Anything that might incur impact damage such as hitting your ring on hard surfaces or dropping it
- Remove your ring for any manual labor (especially anything that includes gripping items tightly such as furniture, free weights, etc.) - Remove your ring when using cosmetics, household chemicals, hand sanitizer, or any other harsh chemicals

It’s kinda difficult to give a real review on the ring as I did not receive the ring I was thinking I was going to get. Upon ordering the ring, I thought I was getting the ring that was displayed on the website with the black veining. I read that the design of the veining cannot be controlled and that if I want anything specific look or color to state so. However, I loved the design that I saw on the website as it was pictured which I thought that was the ring and design I was getting. So, I was a bit confused when the ring I received had no veining. So I will be sending the ring back because I want the veining. Then in contact via email, I was told to send pictures of what I would like in the veining. So, to me I thought I could draw something and then the manufacturer could attempt to create such design. I didn’t realize I was to select a design from the website. So, to me the whole process was a bit frustrating because I did not realize how the process works. As I was just thinking I was getting what was pictured on the website for the Sophia ring. So, to me it wasn’t clear that what was on display was not what I would be getting.
I received my husband's ring in the mail and it was beyond expectations. Not only was the ring exactly what I was hoping for and stunning, the ring box and packaging was so beautiful and thoughtfully crafted. I was pleasantly surprised with the silicone ring it came with as my husband hasn't been able to wear a ring for most of our married years due to work, and now he has the option to safely wear one if he chooses. In two weeks, we will be sharing a milestone of half our lives shared together and I'm proud this is the ring that he will be wearing from this day forward to represent this important day. I will definitely be looking for more excuses to order from Staghead again, thank you for sharing your wonderful talents with me, sincerely your newest repeat customer.
